Eric Prydz Launches His Most Ambitious Show Yet

Holosphere 2.0
Eric Prydz Holosphere 2.0 at [UNVRS] — The Next Chapter in Ibiza’s Visual Club Evolution
Ibiza, 3 June 2025 — After a standout season at Hï Ibiza in 2024, Eric Prydz returns to the island this summer with a bold new chapter: the world debut of Holosphere 2.0, unveiled on Monday night at Ibiza’s newest venue, [UNVRS].
Developed by The Night League — the team behind both Hï and Ushuaïa — [UNVRS] offers Prydz the kind of purpose-built, high-capacity space needed to bring his most ambitious show concept to life. If last summer’s HOLO residency at Hï was a high watermark for club-based visual production, Holosphere 2.0 takes things several steps further — both technically and creatively.

A Fully Immersive System, Built From Scratch
At the centre of the new show is a towering, eight-metre-high transparent sphere constructed entirely from custom-fabricated LED layers. Prydz performs inside it, surrounded by real-time holographic visuals that react to the music — not pre-rendered, but live and fluid.
This new version is not an upgrade or sequel to his earlier HOLO and Holosphere shows; it's a full re-engineering. Every element — from the resolution and LED spec to the content pipelines — has been developed from the ground up. The visuals, designed by a team that includes experimental digital artist GMUNK, blend filmed practical effects with immersive CGI — think crystal geometries, plasma textures, and dynamic environments rendered in true 360° space.
"The wait wasn’t artistic — it was technical," Prydz said ahead of opening night. “We couldn’t build this until the tech caught up. Now it finally has.”
[UNVRS]: A Platform for Innovation
[UNVRS] itself is an important part of the story. Designed in collaboration with production specialists High Scream, the venue features an arena-scale roof rig, a fully modular lighting grid, and L-Acoustics audio built for spatial precision — all key to making Holosphere 2.0 viable. The structure and production design are entirely bespoke, from the truss system down to the cooling infrastructure needed to run the Sphere’s processing stack.
It’s not just a venue for Prydz, though. As Ibiza’s first venue truly built around immersive, future-focused performance formats, [UNVRS] feels like the natural next step in The Night League’s long-term evolution of island nightlife — from Ushuaïa’s open-air theatrics to Hï’s cutting-edge indoor experience.
Opening Night Energy
Opening night featured support from three emerging acts — Rivo, J Ribbon, and Bender — each delivering tight, melodic sets that set the tone for a night focused as much on sonic detail as visual impact. The crowd, a mix of die-hard Prydz fans, tech-forward clubbers, and local heads, brought a focused energy throughout.
Running every Monday until 1 September, this new residency pushes both artist and venue into uncharted territory. It’s rare that a club show can shift the conversation around live electronic music, but Holosphere 2.0 makes a strong case.
