The Chemical Brothers Join Carl Cox at [UNVRS] for a One-Off Ibiza Night to Remember

Some nights on this island arrive with a quiet whisper. Others roll in like a storm. This one? It’s thunder before it even touches the ground.

The Chemical Brothers - yes, those Chemical Brothers - are stepping behind the decks at Carl Cox’s [UNVRS] (pronounced “Universe”) residency on August 31. It’s not just a big booking. It’s one of those nights people will be talking about it long after the season's dust settles into memory.

The duo's DJ sets are the stuff of legend. Not just for the music - which flips between heady nostalgia and jagged futuristic energy - but for how they bend the room around them. Light, visuals, pacing, tension: they don’t just play tracks, they warp time. On this island, that’s rare air.

Known globally for their high-concept live shows, the pair, Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons will strip things back for a DJ set inside one of Ibiza’s newest and most technically advanced venues. It’s a different format, but one that still delivers the same intensity, built on decades of experience and a deep understanding of the dancefloor dynamics.

Supporting on the night are Anna Tur and rising selector Salomé le Chat. Both bring solid reputations for warming up large-scale events with precision. Carl Cox will close out the evening with one of his extended sets — a signature move that continues to draw crowds deep into the morning hours.

The event is part of Cox’s [UNVRS] residency, a fresh chapter for the veteran DJ, focused on new directions rather than retrospectives.

The venue, launched by The Night League (also behind Ushuaïa and Hï Ibiza), has quickly become known for its bold bookings and large-format audiovisual design, standing apart in an increasingly competitive Ibiza club scene.

Bringing The Chemical Brothers into that mix — especially in DJ mode — adds a level of unpredictability and legacy weight. Their presence is infrequent, their sets tightly curated, and their influence still felt across generations of producers and DJs.

For fans of UK electronic music, this isn’t just another Ibiza night. It’s a one-off moment where two of the scene’s most enduring names share a booth.
